Mary Anne Harrop immigrated on 3 Dec 1827 to Sydney, New South Wales, as a convict on board the "Louisa", which had sailed from London on 24 August, with 90 female prisoners and 21 children.

Mary Anne Harrop married Thomas Holmes on 19 Jan 1830 at Christ Church of England in Hexham, New South Wales.

Mary Anne Holmes died on 24 Mar 1854 in Maitland, New South Wales, at the age of 46 years.
